From the 7th to the 11th of October, Lion Safety took part in Mental Health Week.
On Monday we started off with a 15-minute yoga session to get rid of any stress and improve our focus.
On Tuesday we held a Tidy Desk competition to encourage cleanliness and neatness. Decluttering your workspace is known to make you happier and healthier! Rosanne Lewis won this award with her super clean and neat desk.
On Wednesday the team went for a quick 15-minute walk in the park. A quick walk is proven to lift your mood, get creative juices flowing, reduce anxiety, boost brainpower and so much more.
On Thursday we encouraged good nutrition, the team shared homemade protein bars and fresh fruit. There is research to suggest that what we eat may affect not just our physical health, but also our mental health and wellbeing.
We then held a wall-sit challenge in the office to encourage healthy competition and for a bit of fun.
The winner for this competition was Kevin Michel holding the record at 4:00 minutes!
This was a great experience for all of us, it encouraged us to be mindful, healthy and definitely brought out the competitive side!
